Anaheim Packing List — What to Pack for Every Season
Anaheim's Mediterranean climate is mild year-round — 47°F winter nights to 87°F summer days. The biggest packing surprises are June Gloom morning layers, Santa Ana heat waves in fall, and always-comfortable walking shoes for Disneyland's 8–12 miles of daily walking.
By Season
47–70°F
Winter (December–February)
Anaheim winters are mild and sunny with occasional rain — highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 40s. Disneyland's outdoor queue lines are comfortable with a light jacket, and winter is the least crowded season at the park.
- Light jacket or cardigan for 47°F evenings
- Packable rain jacket (5 rainy days per month)
- Comfortable walking shoes for Disneyland
- Layering tops for 20°F daily temperature swings
51–77°F
Spring (March–May)
Anaheim spring is warm and increasingly dry, but May–June Gloom brings a marine layer that keeps mornings 10–15°F cooler than the afternoon forecast. Pack light layers you can peel off after noon. Disneyland crowds pick up in spring break season.
- Light morning layer for June Gloom marine layer
- Sundresses and light tops for warm afternoons
- Comfortable flat walking shoes for Disneyland
- SPF 50+ for sunny afternoon UV
62–87°F
Summer (June–August)
Anaheim summer is warm and completely dry — zero rain days June through August. Disneyland's heat is amplified by concrete and pavement. Mornings start cool under the marine layer and warm into the 80s. Comfortable walking shoes are non-negotiable.
- Breathable sundresses or shorts for 86–87°F heat
- Light cardigan for Disneyland's air-conditioned rides
- Wide-brim hat for Disneyland's sun-exposed queues
- Cushioned walking shoes for 8–12 miles of park walking
54–85°F
Fall (September–November)
Anaheim fall brings the biggest weather wildcard — Santa Ana wind events can push temperatures above 90°F unexpectedly in September and October. November cools down with occasional rain. Fall is peak Disneyland Halloween and holiday season.
- Lightweight layers for 85°F+ Santa Ana days
- Light jacket for 54°F November evenings
- Comfortable walking shoes for holiday Disneyland crowds
- SPF 50+ for surprise Santa Ana heat waves

General Packing Tips for Anaheim
- 1.Disneyland involves 8–12 miles of walking on hard pavement every day — comfortable, broken-in flat shoes are the single most important item you can pack, and heeled sandals or fashion sneakers will cause blisters before noon.
- 2.Anaheim June Gloom marine layer keeps mornings at 62°F even when the afternoon hits 81°F — always pack a light layer you can carry through the park and remove after lunch when the sun burns through.
- 3.Santa Ana wind events can hit Anaheim in September through November with almost no warning, pushing temperatures above 90°F on days that started at 65°F — always check the extended forecast before finalizing your fall Anaheim wardrobe.
