October is Dubai's summer exit — 96°F highs dropping toward the end of the month, 79°F lows becoming increasingly pleasant. Pack lightweight breathable clothing, SPF 50 sunscreen, a cardigan for indoor air conditioning, and plan outdoor mornings and evenings. By late October, the Burj Khalifa plaza and Dubai Creek are manageable for midday visits as temperatures fall.
October marks the start of Dubai's transition out of summer — the 96°F highs are still hot but significantly more manageable than September's 105°F, and the evenings at 79°F become genuinely comfortable for the Marina Walk and outdoor dining. By late October, outdoor sightseeing returns as a realistic midday option. The Dubai Shopping Festival and GITEX technology event typically run in October.

What to Pack for Dubai in October →
The second half of October is excellent — temperatures drop below 90°F and outdoor activity becomes practical again. Early October (96°F highs) is still hot. Hotel prices are lower than the winter peak; the weather transition makes late October the best-value window in the year.
By late October — desert safaris (evening and overnight), Dubai Creek dhow cruises, the Spice Souk and Gold Souk walks (early morning), and evening promenade walks at JBR and Dubai Marina. The Burj Khalifa observation deck is manageable in the morning by mid-October.
Lightweight breathable clothing for still-warm days (96°F highs in early October). A light layer for the 79°F evenings and for indoor air conditioning. SPF 50 for daytime outdoor activity; UV index remains 8–9. Modest coverage (covered shoulders and knees) still applies at souks and Al Fahidi.
